Guided by the mission of the Daughters of Charity and by the Core Values of Respect, Quality Service, Simplicity, Advocacy for the Poor, and Inventiveness to Infinity, the Daughters of Charity Foundation works with the Daughters’ ministries of the Province of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton to bring hope, care, and the love of God to those who are in need and whom society chooses to forget.
The purpose of the Daughters of Charity Foundation are:
Since 1633, the Daughters of Charity have been caring for the sick, the poor, the homeless and those in need. Founded in France by Saint Vincent de Paul and Saint Louise de Marillac, the Daughters have grown to be an international community of approximately 11,500 Sisters ministering to those in poverty in 97 countries. In the western United States, the Daughters of Charity, Province of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has touched lives for more than 170 years through the ministries of education, parish ministry, health care and social services.
